Professional Summary:

Stephen Zheng is experienced in complex commercial and international litigation. Prior to joining our firm, he was a judge of People’s Court of Jinjiang City from 1999 to 2003, and heard thousands of civil and commercial cases. Some of these cases were selected into the Case-book of People’s Court. In March 2003, he resigned from the judge and went to Australia to further his previous legal experience by studying international law. After completing his postgraduate course in July 2004, he came back to China and serve as a lawyer in our firm. He is also skilled in corporate transactions, and has advised a large number of multinational clients to set up businesses in Fujian province (including Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, Jinjiang, Shishi, Nanan).He also represents corporate multinationals in various litigation matters ranging from complex commercial disputes, cross-border commercial actions, bank loan recovery, brokerage and securities problems, and other contractual claims.

As a native of China, Stephen Zheng is fluent in English, Mandarin and the dialect of Fujian.
